Bizarre Prototype Chain Handgun

I’m having trouble finding any information about this fascinating handgun other than that an original Russian caption translated as “7.62mm Pistol prototype. Power tape. Capacity of the tape 36 shots.” It looks similar to the Josselyn revolver, an 1866 American design that fed up to 20 rounds kept in individual chambers linked by a chain. Affectionate Violins

When you’re not looking, Philippe Guillerm’s violins are flirting with each other, getting into trouble or performing stunts. He makes amusing sculptures of anthropomorphic violins that look like they popped out of a Disney cartoon. Link -via My Darkened Eyes

Famous People Who Saw UFOs

If you’re having trouble spotting the “5or 6 disk like [sic] shapes” in the photo above, that’s probably because you’ve seen clouds before. But Billy Ray Cyrus was either convinced he was spotting an extraterrestrial meet-and-greet, or trying really hard to maintain his image of being not super-smart. But Mr. Mullet himself isn’t the first [...]

Actors Who Were in Both Doctor Who and Star Wars

I’m having trouble imagining Lobot with personality, but actor John Hollis had a long career playing many different roles. Geeks of Doom created an infographic showing 13 actors who worked on both Star Wars and Doctor Who. You can view the whole thing at the link. Link -via Nerd Bastards

Stop Motion Animation Created With Spreadsheets

(YouTube Link) Creating a fluid and interesting stop motion animation can be tedious enough, but when you decide to animate via spreadsheet you’re just asking for trouble! Apparently Joe Penna, aka Mystery Guitar Man, likes tedious trouble, as he and his team converted 730 frames of video into this blocky stop motion music video. –via Endgadget

Star Wars Spaghetti Westerns

George Lucas had trouble selling his Star Wars concept. What if he had responded by going to Italy where filmmaking was cheaper? Timothy Anderson created posters for all three movies from that deliciously weird alternate universe. Link -via blastr

My Little Pony Shotgun

I’m having trouble tracking down information about this shotgun. So far, I can find just one mention on Equestria Daily. It’s not the first working MLP firearm we’ve seen. Last week, we saw a Smith & Wesson 1911 with the Rainbow Dash cutie mark inscribed on the grips. This shotgun of unknown provenance is similarly [...]

Star Wars AT-AT Walker For Geeky Seniors

If you’re having trouble getting around on your own these days, why not take a tip from Star Wars and get this sweet AT-AT styled walker? It will make you the geekiest resident at the senior center, and a big hit with the Leias at bingo night. Cool hydraulic sound effects not included. Link –via Geek Tyrant

Chess Advisory

You know those chess players, always trying to start trouble! Good thing they have the League Secretary to set them straight when they get rambunctious. Link (Image credit: Flickr user Cory Doctorow)

Tricking

I have trouble enough just walking down the street, so I’m doubly impressed with this sports of youngsters today called Tricking (apparently it has roots in Martial Arts). Watch it as practiced by Brandon McCuien and [...]
