(Video Link) You don’t have a soccer ball? No worries. Just get a coconut. Then set it on fire. That’s what students in East Java, Indonesia do as a test of courage. And yes, they play barefoot. I wonder if they have throw-ins for balls that go out of bounds. Link -via Daily Dot

Kawah Ijen is a volcanic crater lake in East Java, Indonesia. This is no ordinary lake, but a pool of sulfuric acid. Miners harvest sulfur from the caldera, carrying it miles by hand, with little to protect them from poisonous gasses. Read more about them at Environmental Graffiti.
