Carl Sagan’s “Pale Blue Dot” Lives On

“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it’s forever.” -Carl Sagan So ends this inspiring video in which Sagan reads from his classic Pale Blue Dot, while we see famous photographs and listen to the music of Sigur Rós. An intense, if oddly calming, way to start your day.

Warning: contains some brief graphic imagery, but of the “famous graphic photos” variety.

Let us know if you’d like more Sagan coverage; I’m sure we could mash Pale Blue Dot and/or COSMOS up with something else if you like.
